Gerhard Pittnauer is located on the east shore of the Neusiedlersee in Austrias Burgenland region, which is at the eastern extremity of Austria bordering with Hungary. Long considered a St. Laurent specialist, their Pinot Noir is now gaining accolades as one of the best varietal representatives from Austria. Working with approximately 16 hectares, including Vineyards in Altenberg, Pittnauer produces close to 60,000 bottles from mainly Pinot Noir, St. Laurent, and Zweigelt, utilizing only sustainable methods in the vineyards and indigenous yeasts in the cellar.
