Situated on the eastern side of the Adige river valley in the little community of Pressano in Lavis one finds the top-notch, if tiny, winery of Giuseppe Fanti, now in the capable hands of Alessandro Fanti, son. From just over fours hectares they produce 18,000 bottles. Four whites, the three listed here, plus a delightful Chardonnay, and one red. The vineyards lie in view of the stunning Dolomite Mountains and benefit from these mountains in their climatic effects. Warm days and cool nights lend to long growing seasons; the incredible mineral rich soil gives to the wines natural body and intense complexity. The wines are made using a mix of modern techniques coupled with tradition. Very delicious and worth a long thoughtful look!
