Alonso & Pedrajo

Alonso & Pedrajo is the story of two families who became great friends and supported each other as they pursued their shared desire of creating their own wine. It was important to them to savor every last drop of their project. With the utmost focus and appreciation, experiencing each step. In 2011, they started putting their ideas into action. Their first harvest occurred in October of 2013 on the acreage they selected. Their journey has been one of great length and intensity. And they're pleased with the early returns: careful attention to detail in the vineyard and minimal intervention during the winemaking process have yielded wines that aim to surprise with their character and originality, while remaining true to the grapes' roots in Rioja's most westerly region at the foot of the Montes Obarenes. First in their family to focus on growing grapes and manufacturing wine, they are pioneers in the industry. For them, the greatest source of pride is in taking the first steps on a journey that will bring them closer to the earth, the people, and the wine. It is their sincere desire to pave the way for future generations to carry on the family's legacy of vineyard ownership and production.
