About Borroso

The name Borroso, which means "blurred," alludes to the dreamlike state one can enter while imbibing mezcal, where one's thoughts drift beyond the purely rational. Every bottle of Borroso is lovingly crafted by hand in Oaxaca's palenques, which are owned by individual families. The Baja California negociant Borroso helps lesser mezcaleros that lack the resources to handle bottling and distribution on their own. They are dedicated to protecting wild agave species and hence use agave Espadn nearly entirely in their work.
