Château Lestage-Darquier Moulis

Chateau Lestage Darquier iconic journeyman property, offering an artisan alternative to its Grand Cru neighbors. Located in the small hill district made famous by Chateau Chasse-Spleen. François Bernard, oversees this small farm of eight hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc - with minimal intervention or Agriculture Raisonnée. The average age of the vineyards is twenty years old, planted on a terroir of fine gravel over Garrone clay, 6,800 vines per hectare. Vineyards are now 22 years old - all south-east facing.
