About Circa
This winery was founded in 1955 by 33 passionate founder members, led by Tullio Pranovi, the first Chairman of what was then a cooperative and the leading founding member, to whom a Prosecco DOC Millesimato was recently dedicated to commemorate him and emphasize the importance that the spumante tradition has always had in this firm. The origins of a wine's characteristics are highly complex, yet terroir plays a critical role in defining the quality of the raw material - the grape. This region has been gifted with volcanic and glacial soil, which is ideal for grape growth due to its temperate environment and good exposure to the sun. The Berici Hills, which formed around 60 million years ago as a result of surface upthrusting, have relatively clayey soil, which gives their wines body. With cutting-edge technology, the cellar has long supported research and innovation, with a trade network that is well-represented in Italy and exports to Europe and many other nations around the world. Colli Vicentini's commitment is to focus on the quality of the wines by preserving vine characteristics and keeping local traditions alive. The cellar ensures the complete process "from vineyard to sales" through continuous monitoring of production, diverse grape manufacturing, and vineyard control in order to make quality wines, thanks to the labor of its oenologists and agronomists.
