The history of Château Simian began in the early 1920s in Piolenc, a charming Provençal village at the foot of the Massif d'Uchaux, near Orange. Sophie Simian, the owner of the land, bequeathed her property to her loyal employee Marcelle Ladret, who along with her husband, worked hard to renovate the premises and expand the vineyard. Their daughter Madeleine met and fell in love with Yves Serguier, a passionate winegrower from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and together they had a son, Jean-Pierre. After studying at the Beaune wine school in Burgundy, Jean-Pierre took over the family estate and achieved his ancestors' dream by raising and bottling wine on the estate. His son Florian, born in 1991 and trained at the Orange wine school, joined the estate in 2010, ensuring the smooth continuation of the family's winemaking legacy.
