Eyguebelle SAS
Domaine Eyguebelle is based on human values and scents, and it is located in the most beautiful and important fruit-growing region in France. It all began in the Cistercian abbey of Aiguebelle, nestled among lavender meadows and apple orchards, back in 1137. The monks take great care and take pride in crafting liqueurs from various fruits and plants. In 1996, the business became secular and was renamed Eyguebelle; nonetheless, it has stayed within the Abbey to retain its legacy and its ties with local producers to guarantee the full quality and aroma of the fruits and plants used in their production. In 2006, they abandoned the monastery complex in favor of a more conducive setting for production. The new Eyguebelle brand, lred (which translates to "the spirit of the source"), features an exquisite line of distilled beverages. They reveal a past and the special care taken to meet customer needs. They use the same time-tested recipes developed over centuries by the Monks, and they defend the manufacturing process for their spirits with an almost religious zeal. During production, no changes are made to anything. Every procedure is followed to the letter. This, combined with the knowledge of their forebears who were herbalists, is what gives their alcoholic beverages their distinctive flavor and character. Liquors get their digestive and energizing qualities from the exquisite alchemy of botanicals, sugar, and alcohol.
