Chaos Theory - 2021
David created Chaos Theory as a one-of-a-kind blend of Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon for their initial participation in the Premiere Napa Valley trade auction. He returned to the cellar to fine-tune the details in order to make it a permanent addition to their lineup after it caused such a stir. This exclusive blend has changed shape over time, giving each vintage its own distinctive blend. Due to a wild array of factors that affected that production cycle, the 2020 vintage is officially their most chaotic, and possibly miraculous Chaos Theory ever. You immediately notice the garnet rim and deep crimson core. On the nose, delicate passionfruit, papaya, and allspice, as well as lily of the valley and banana blossom. Secondary notes include warm blackberries with maple sausage, Meyer lemon zest, eucalyptus, cocoa, and blueberry/boysenberry brioche. The palate has a medium to full body, strong structure, and the tannins are soft. This wine can be consumed now through 2035.
