Neiss

Ludi Neiss and his wife Christine owned a winery and were farmers in 1959. All of their holdings were turned into vineyards in the 1970s, and in 1997, their son Axel Neiss took over. Axel brought the family's wine estate up to date as a fifth-generation winemaker. Classical grape varieties took the place of the previous wines, and the estate was expanded to include some of the region's best locations. Axel changed how workers worked in the vineyards and cellars, redeveloping the labels and estate image. Vine plants thrive in mineral-rich, chalky soils in this northern region with a cool climate. White varieties make up half of the family's vineyards, while red varieties make up the other half. The course of action taken by Axel Neiss is motivated by his pursuit of perfection. Additionally, the estate was one of the Fair & Green Organization's founding members.
