Charles Antin, a seasoned wine expert with experience as the Head of Sales in the Christie's Wine Department and currently the Head of Auctions at Zachys Wine Auctions, felt a growing disconnect from the elements that initially drew him to wine: a connection to the land and great, affordable wine. Accustomed to enjoying the rarest wines in the world through his work in the auction world, Charles realized that his focus on the top of the top end, mainly Burgundy and Bordeaux, was niche and wanted to create a brand that aligned more closely with his personal taste in wine. Determined to pursue his passion without uprooting his family and life in New York City, Charles partnered with Mikey Giugni of Scar of the Sea to establish Riff Raff Wine Co. Together, they aimed to produce what Charles considers the best Pinot and Chardonnay in the state. Riff Raff Wine Co. stands as a testament to Charles Antin's dedication to reconnecting with the core values of winemaking and providing exceptional, affordable wines that resonate with both seasoned wine enthusiasts and casual drinkers.
