Tequila Cascahuín

Cascahuín's story begins in 1904, in a tavern in El Arenal, a municipality in the highlands of Jalisco. It was here that the foundations of the distillery were laid, and where Salvador Rosales Briseño, a farmer and agriculturalist with a deep connection to the land, came of age within the mezcal industry. In 1955, he set out on his own, building the current distillery along with its first masonry ovens and fermentation vats.

The third generation, the Rosales Torres family, joined the business in the 1980s, expanding the distillery's capacity with additional ovens, a mill, and stainless steel fermentation vats. It was during this period that production processes were refined and the distillery began growing and sourcing its own agave, allowing Cascahuín to supply itself and reach more markets.

Today, the fourth generation is led by Salvador "Chava" Rosales Trejo, Maestro Tequilero and great-grandson of the founder. Under Chava, Cascahuín has returned its focus to artisanal, additive-free production: cooking agave in traditional masonry ovens, natural fermentation, and double distillation in copper pot stills. The result is a tequila that reflects the mineral character of El Arenal's land, and an approach that has earned Cascahuín a dedicated following among bartenders and collectors who value craft over convenience.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0601/1731/9863/collections/cascahuin_Diciembre_coreccion_02.jpg?v=1780951157
https://www.tedwardwines.com/collections/tequila-cascahuin.oembed
T.
