Bourgogne Blanc 2021
The Dukes of Burgundy, as well as monks and winegrowers, have all contributed to the development of the vineyard over the years. A bottle of Burgundy is a precious relic of French culture. Armand Heitz opted for the Bourgogne Blanc labels rather of the more prestigious Bourgogne Côte d'Or or Bourgogne Chardonnay. In contrast to the Bourgogne Blanc appellation, they believe the other two appellations force impractical ways of doing things, whereas the latter allows for more ethical methods of production. For example, by cultivating medium-sized vineyards with a wide range of legal grape types. Rich and dense, with a pleasant finish. Fresh, mineral, and citrusy flavors. Young and vibrant. Potential for aging: 3-5 years. Temperature for tasting: 10-12°C. Shellfish and grilled fish are good food and wine pairings.
