This dessert wine is a rare treat. These grapes were grown in Mendocino County and harvested in the middle of November, reaching an astounding 32° brix (compared to 22°) after remaining on the vine until then.
With such a small amount of fruit, fermentation was left to proceed naturally, resulting in a greater alcohol content but a naturally balancing 80 g/L of residual sugar.
Beautiful dessert wine evocative of Loire Valley Quarts de Chaume, produced and matured in a repurposed puncheon (500 liters).
