Climate:2018 was a return to a more normal pattern of a wet winter, cool spring, mild summer and warm fall, with no extreme heat waves. The fruit was able to gradually ripen and produce wines with elegance and balance.
Harvest Technique:Each component for this blend was vinified individually, using a variety of techniques
Soil:Positas fine sandy loam with gravel/Chamise shaly loamand Positas fine sandy loam
Fermentation:The Merlot was destemmed and fermented in an open top tank, and Cabernet Sauvingnon in a 600L rotary barrel and open top tank. The Cabernet Franc is placed in a cement tank, and the Syrah was fermented 100% whole cluster.
Elevage:aged in French oak before being blended and bottled in the summer of 2020.
