Pommard 1er Cru "Les Rugiens" - 2020

Rugiens wines are known for their power, yet Armand Heitz’s take on the historic terroir intertwines that bold fruit with delicacy in the form of soft floral and spice flourishes on the nose. The palate is seamless, with a smooth texture and a long-lasting finish. This climate is characteristic for its power and the winemaker must know how to compose skilfully in order not to end up with a too rustic wine. "Cooler though still notably ripe aromas features those of essence of red currant and a plethora of very pretty floral and spice wisps. The rich and equally attractively textured medium-bodied flavors that exude plenty of minerality on the dusty, even chalky, but not really austere finish that goes on and on" Allen Meadows
