Les Birbettes comes from the estate’s oldest plots—all older than 60, with two planted in the 1920s. These ancient vines yield tiny, concentrated berries that make for a wine of incredible purity, enticing salinity, and brilliant minerality. Old vines bring "experience" of dealing with climate change within a production year. They have the capacity to adapt and balance the ripeness. The wine produced with small-sized berries expresses more purity and verticality. Additionally, the salinity shows off the minerality of terroir.
