In 2014, Laura crafted her first rosé, an over-vintaged, barrel-aged Merlot. She was captivated by the complexity, depth, and personality that a rosé can develop when given time to evolve. Fast-forward to 2020, when smoke threatened to envelop her Merlot vineyard, jeopardizing the fruit destined for her Kitsune red blend. Seizing the opportunity, Laura made the decision to harvest the fruit early and create another wine in the style that had stolen her heart years prior. After the grapes were picked, they were pressed and fermented in neutral French oak, with a total of 12 months of élevage. The resulting wine boasts remarkable structure, vibrant acidity, and a lovely texture - highly versatile with food and built to age gracefully.
