Caterina Carli's Rosso di Montalcino is aged in large, old Slavonian oak barrels for 14 months, resulting in a Sangiovese that combines vibrant, charming fruitiness with gently spiced, floral character. Aromas of fresh fig, roasted red cherry, and dried rose petal are reminiscent of its ruby-garnet color. The palate is rich, rounded, and supple, with crisp, fragrant middle fruit notes. The finish is harmonious and enjoyable, with good freshness and great structure (for drinking now-2025+).
