Bull Run's founders were originally merchant bottlers who sourced barrels of whiskey before opening their own distillery. These explorations resulted in Bull Run Straight Bourbon Whiskey, which was first intended to be a one-off but has now become the flagship of the Merchant Bottling Expressions. Using whiskey that has been aged for four years, Bull Run chooses a portion to be proofed down with water from Bull Run Reservoir and bottled as Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
