Keep Wines

Johanna Jensen and Jack Roberts, the winemaking duo behind these bottles, craft low-intervention, very ageable, old world-influenced wines that are vibrant and mineral-driven. While making wine in the vigneron style, the majority of the work is done by the vigneron himself, from the vineyard until the bottling. They specialize on lesser-known grape types and collaborate with tiny vineyards around Northern California, many of which are certified organic. Crest on the bottle depicts Beverston Castle, a Norman fortress in Gloucestershire, England, where Jack's father was born in the 11th century. Beverston's lofty 'keep,' (from the middle English kype, or barrel), the defenders' last resort in a siege, and its surrounding moat are all that exist today. It was also used to keep valuables, such as wine, which was highly prized.
