"Couple Goals" VDF - 2022 is a unique white wine blend that showcases the best qualities of two distinct French wine regions. This wine combines Chenin Blanc from Parnay, near Saumur in the Loire Valley, with Chardonnay from Pont du Gard in Ardèche, part of the Rhône Valley. The blend is crafted to achieve a specific balance by leveraging the terroir characteristics of each region. The wine is an equal blend of 50% Chenin Blanc and 50% Chardonnay. The Chenin Blanc grapes are grown in clay and limestone soils, while the Chardonnay comes from vineyards with round pebbles and clay. "Couple Goals" is produced using organic and biodynamic farming methods. The grapes are hand-harvested from vines that average 35 years in age. Fermentation takes place in concrete tanks, and the wine is then aged for 6 months, also in concrete tanks. This medium-bodied white wine offers a structured and refreshing experience. It presents aromas of stone fruit, black tea, and citrus. The wine undergoes skin contact during production, which contributes to its complexity and texture.
