ABOUT THIS BOTTLE
Made from 100% Melon B grown on 50 year old vines in the village of Monnières, on gneiss soil. The wine comes from the estate's best plots on the Moulin de la Minière hillside, certified organic and farmed with short Guyot Simple pruning, ploughed soils, and no chemical products used in the vineyard.
The 2022 vintage was marked by a hot, dry spring and summer, a very sunny, qualitative year that produced colorful, rich, and sweet juices. Made using pneumatic pressing and cold racking of the must, the wine is nourished and matured on its lees for 36 months of fermentation. At 12.5% alcohol, it's best served at 12 to 14°C and has a potential ageing window of 10 years or more. It pairs well with mushroom risotto, hard cheese, or smoked eel.
