To date, eight vintages of Kahn Vineyard wine have been made. This hillside vineyard, located at the very southern end of the Mayacamas range that separates Napa and Sonoma Valley, produces wine of extraordinary complexity thanks to the interplay of volcanic and valley floor soils. Synthetic pesticides and fertilizers aren't used on it. It was decided in 2018 to replace punch downs with gentle pump overs, involving just whole clusters. This wine had a 24 Brix harvest, an 18-month aging period in neutral oak barrels, and a further 18 months in bottle before release. Fruit forward and full-bodied, with a meaty minerality and a long, satisfying aftertaste.
