About Lockhart

The Lockhart brand started with the acquisition of 200 cases in 2004, Cabernet Sauvignon followed soon after with Merlot, and Chardonnay. The Pinot Noir was added for the 2009 vintage. This ‘Owned Brand’ is commemorative of one of first team members, Karen Lockhart.

Sourced from the California AVA since the debut and since 2024 we include new Lodi fruit source. Lodi AVA is located just west of San Francisco between Sacramento and Stockton on the edge of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. The grapes sourced for Lockhart are all sustainably farmed using organic and sustainable farming practices and principally all small family farms including the Ehlers family, a family business for more than 80 years. All wines are cold fermented in stainless steel, with the reds aged in twice used french oak barrels.
