About Mr & Mrs Théo
Mas Theo is a family-owned winery located in the heart of the Languedoc region of France. Established in 1999 by Theo and Sophie Reynaud, Mas Theo is a small-scale winery that produces high-quality wines with a focus on sustainable practices and traditional winemaking techniques. Theo and Sophie Reynaud, both originally from the Bordeaux region, moved to Languedoc with a vision of creating wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. They chose a small plot of land in the village of Saint-Geniès-de-Fontedit, where they planted vines and built a small winery. They named the winery Mas Theo, after Theo’s nickname, and began producing their first vintage in 2002. Mas Theo’s wines are made from a variety of grape varieties, including Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Carignan.
The winery produces both red and white wines, with a focus on blends that showcase the best of each grape variety. The wines are aged in oak barrels and bottled on site, with minimal intervention to preserve the natural flavors of the grapes. In addition to producing high-quality wines, Mas Theo is committed to sustainable practices in the vineyard and winery. The winery is certified organic, and the Reynauds use biodynamic methods to cultivate the grapes. They also use natural yeasts and avoid adding any chemicals or artificial additives to their wines.
