Scarecrow Winery
Scarecrow Winery is a family-owned and operated winery located in the heart of Napa Valley. The winery was founded in 1945 by J.J. Cohn, a Hollywood producer and lawyer. The vineyard was originally planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, but was abandoned after Cohn's death in 1996. In 2002, Cohn's granddaughter, Bret Lopez, and her husband, Mimi DeBlasio, resurrected the vineyard and winery with the goal of producing exceptional wines that honor Cohn's legacy. Today, Scarecrow Winery is known for its highly sought-after Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyard is meticulously tended by hand using organic and biodynamic farming practices, and the grapes are carefully selected to ensure only the highest quality fruit is used in the wines. With a focus on minimal intervention, the wines are crafted to showcase the unique terroir of the vineyard. Scarecrow Winery has quickly become a benchmark for quality in Napa Valley, earning critical acclaim and a devoted following of wine lovers around the world.
