About Textura
Textura's story begins in a region shaped by small growers, a patchwork of family-farmed plots where vine cultivation runs generations deep. Rather than plant from scratch, Textura sought out these existing vineyards, piecing together 30 hectares across 9 distinct plots in Vila Nova de Tazem and Penalva do Castelo.
Each plot carries its own soil, aspect, and history, and Textura's winemaking follows suit: low intervention in the cellar, so that what ends up in the glass speaks of where it grew rather than how it was made. The result is a range of wines with real character, distinct from plot to plot, true to place.
That respect for place extends beyond the vine. Textura's approach is rooted in a broader commitment to the land, its biodiversity, and the people and communities who work it. Every decision, from resource use to materials to waste, is weighed for its impact, with a preference for reduction, substitution, and reuse over extraction. Where possible, infrastructure and resources are shared with neighboring producers, reinforcing the same spirit of small-grower collaboration that shaped the region in the first place.
