| Vintage Notes: | "The 2019 Barbaresco vintage is widely regarded as a classic, combining elegance with structure and long-term aging potential. After a slow, rainy spring that filled the soil’s water reserves, the summer warmed steadily into mild, balanced conditions, allowing for a slow, gradual ripening and phenolic maturity. Harvest began in mid to late October, producing Nebbiolo grapes with excellent polyphenolic structure, moderate sugars, and vibrant acidity. On the nose, wines from 2019 often show classic aromas of rose and wild strawberry, with hints of fennel, juniper, and lifted minerality. Overall, critics praise 2019 as a refined vintage, balanced, vibrant, and built to evolve gracefully in the cellar. " |

ABOUT THIS BOTTLE
"Sourced exclusively from venerable old vines in the Bas-Rabajà vineyard, Luisin’s Barbaresco Riserva undergoes an extraordinary ninety-day submerged-cap fermentation before maturing for three and a half years in large Slavonian oak casks. This patient élevage yields a wine that amplifies the structure and gravitas of Nebbiolo, reflecting the inherent nobility of the cru with striking authority. While its architecture calls for time to fully unfold, the Riserva already reveals remarkable expressiveness and layered nuance upon release."
