Sourced from select vineyards in Serralunga d’Alba, the wine reveals intense aromas of red cherry, rose petals, and subtle spice. On the palate, it balances firm tannins with freshness and precision, offering both structure and elegance. Crafted in a traditional style, Leon highlights the estate’s dedication to authenticity, delivering a Barolo of distinction, refinement, and aging potential.
The 2023 vintage in Serralunga showed healthy Nebbiolo with normal yields and good phenolic maturity. The wines are expected to offer freshness, lively acidity, and a refined, silky tannic structure. Overall balance and moderate alcohol make them approachable earlier, yet still age-worthy. It is a “recovery” vintage, producing vibrant and well-defined Barolos despite challenging conditions.
