Chardonnay Sonoma County - 2021

Fidelis and Bazzano vineyards in the central Russian River Valley provided the grapes for this wine. Both vineyards are on benchland exposures, with the Bazzano being an older vineyard on a modest slope and the Fidelis being a young vineyard planted on a steep South/western exposure. Both sites have been planted with the UCD clone. The glass is honey-colored, and there is an immediate aroma of apple blossoms, lemon sweets, and pie crust. Filling and nicely textured. The aromas of salted almond streusel and baked pear are revealed by the bright acidity and minerality, followed by a long, flawless finish.
