Continuum is estate grown on Sage Mountain Vineyard, perched high on Pritchard Hill along the eastern ridge above Oakville, overlooking Napa Valley and the San Francisco Bay. The vineyard's rocky, volcanic soils and elevation between 1,300 and 1,600 feet keep yields low and concentrate the fruit, while vines averaging 20 years old across 42 distinct blocks lend the wine its layered complexity. Entirely estate grown, produced, and bottled, the wine is hand harvested at night, gently fermented with regular pumpovers, and aged 21 months in barrel sur lie before being bottled without fining or filtration.

Aromatically effusive, Continuum is a seductive wine with an upright, regal core, elegant notes of black plum, black cherry, cacao, forest floor, and tobacco leaf mingle with sage mountain garrigue and volcanic minerality. Energetic and expressive, it's a harmoniously integrated wine with structural complexity wrapped in velvet. Decanting is recommended to open up its aromatics and soften the palate, and while approachable now, it will reward extended aging.
