Founded in 2010 and based in Kansas City, Union Horse is an upstart distillery that's family-owned and operated by the Garcia siblings. Focusing on craft whiskies, Union Horse buys its grain from local farmers and mills it at the distillery, giving them a unique amount of control over their grain. Every bottle of rye and Bourbon is hand-labeled and each bottle is numbered and signed by Head Distiller Patrick Garcia. Union Horse whiskies are not charcoal-filtered and no artificial coloring or flavoring agents are used. A small-batch 100% rye that pays homage to the start of American Whiskey; aged for 5+ years in 53G barrels. Tastes lightly spicy notes of butterscotch caramel, and ginger.
