ABOUT THIS BOTTLE
Wine lovers have always spoken of Burgundy with reverence. Whether the wine is
young and sprightly, or burnished from years on the bottle, the joy that Burgundy can
bring is incomparable. Sadly, in recent decades, prices have risen and risen. We yearn
for the days when a glass of Burgundy, drunk alongside a plate of cold oysters or a rosy
duck breast under the soft golden light of a bistro globe, felt less like a luxury than a
necessity. Henri Dufrères was conceived with this in mind as T. Edward Wines marked
its thirtieth anniversary in 2024. With Henri Dufrères the company’s next generation
lays a foundation for the future by reaching into the past for wines that will never go
out of style. Vinified with sustainably farmed Chardonnay and Gamay from the Mâcon,
and aged in stainless steel tanks, these are wines that speak clearly of the region’s
legendary clay-limestone soils.
This Bourgogne Blanc is nothing short of stellar at this price. Aged and fermented in
stainless steel for 8-10 months, the wine is crisp and super fresh, with lovely white fruit
and remarkably delicate.
