The grapes are cultivated in volcanic basalt-nekia soil and are farmed using biodynamic practices. The name "Rastaban" is derived from a star in the Draco constellation, reflecting the mythology and astrology themes that were significant in Jimi Brooks' early winemaking endeavors.
