Mapuche

Chile, in the Casablanca Valley Casa Julia is the culmination of Pablo Morande's life's effort, conceived as a project to illustrate which varietals are best suited to each appellation. One of the founding fathers of Chilean viticulture, his efforts have made Maipo Valley vineyards among the most prestigious in the world. Pablo, a winemaker with deep roots in Chile's vinicultural past, planted the first grapes in the Casablanca Valley in 1982. For the next four years, he was the only vigneron who worked this area. There are now more than 4,000 hectares of vineyards in the valley. As a result of Pablo's example, many of the country's top wines are now sourced from the Casablanca Valley. The wines of Casa Julia are a collection of value-driven bottles crafted by one of the best winemakers in South America using grapes from a number of different regions, including the Casa Blanca, Maipo, and Rapel Valleys. There is a wide range of climatic conditions that Pablo may take advantage of according to the various appellations he has been granted.
