Vine Hill Ranch

A product of the Phillips family's three-generation transition from grapegrowing to winemaking, VHR Cabernet is a wine of place grown on the estate. They  have spent countless hours walking the rows of their estate vineyard and tending to each of the seven blocks, and as a result, they have a profound appreciation for the distinctive qualities of their grapes. They use a low-intervention winemaking process that includes picking at peak ripeness, hand-sorting fruit, cold-soaking, lengthy maceration, macerating with native yeast, and aging in new French oak barrels to create wines that express their origins. Grapes from specific blocks at VHR are vinified in small batches to highlight the unique character of each vineyard.
