ABOUT THIS BOTTLE
Alexandrine Roy represents the fourth generation fo her family to farm in Gevrey-Chambertin, tending just four hectares in the heart of the Côte de Nuits with meticulous care. The Bourgogne Rouge is the entry point to the rainge, but the address matters: these vines sit within the Gevrey-Chambertin area, on deeper soils with good moisture retention, a natural advantage that keeps the fruit fresh and balanced through even the hottest summers.
Bright ruby in the glass. The nose is expressive and immediately charming, built around small red berries with a purity and energy that is rarely found at this appellation level. On the palate the tannins are soft and ripe, the balance is beautiful, and the wine delivers an intensity that has no business being in a regional bottling. An honest intruduction to what Alexandrine does throughout the range.
